ABOUT

I am an artist who works with digital media as an extension of gesture. Every piece begins with an instinctive pen sketch, quick and immediate. In that first line I look for emotion, posture, the tension of the body. Then I move everything into the digital space and refine the form in Illustrator. I work on curves, lines and color until the figure finds balance, clarity and presence.

My focus revolves around interiority. My figures do not narrate stories or describe environments. They are suspended presences, concentrated on what they feel. I am drawn to distance, silence, the mental space in which they move. I use digital tools to build clean, essential surfaces that frame the body as an emotional place.

My research evolves through variations. Each work grows out of the previous one and shifts its center of gravity. I seek a form that holds fragility and, at the same time, a rigorous structure. Digital media allows me to work on this dual nature, combining the instinct of drawing with the precision of the process.

I graduated in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts. After completing my degree, I spent a year in the United States, where I studied Web Design and Graphic Design at college. When I returned to Italy, I worked as a graphic designer and art director between Milan and Trento, in advertising agencies.

After ten years in the field, I chose to teach, and today I teach graphic design subjects in an art high school. It was while working with my students that I rediscovered the urge to express myself personally.

Today I continue my research under Milart, my personal visual space, where I develop new digital works and refine my practice. This year I have also begun to present my artworks publicly, bringing my work from the studio into exhibition contexts.
